Lewis Hamilton vs Max Verstappen 2021
A look back on Lewis Hamilton vs Max Versrappen 2021 now that it's a few years removed. The most haunting sporting event's to me, in no order, are the Tyrese game 7 injury, Roger match points up at Wimby vs Novak, and this final race of the 2021 F1 season between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen. There's few days where if you take me back to them, my heart starts racing, in anx of knowing what happened. Unfortunately this is one of them. Still none of it sits right with me.

USA World Cup Group
USA's World Cup Group couldn't have gotten much better. Shaq had the first draw with Australia. Aaron Judge had the 2nd pick with Paraguay. And Curaçao was picked 3rd by Wayne Gretzky. So the group will be USA, Paraguay, Australia, and the winner of a European playoff between Turkey, Slovakia, Kosovo, and Romania. The first game will be against Paraguay, a rematch of the match that finished in a benches clearing brawl that I wrote about a few weeks ago. If USA wasn't motivate

Salute, Bron
The 10 point streak for Bron is officially over. In terms of longevity, it is one of the most impressive accomplishments of all time. I mean this streak is older than Hulu. Older than President Obama's inauguration. Older than the first Iphone! Evan Cal Ripken's streak of 2,632 games played in a row is widely considered one of the best of all time but this is way better. He didn't just step foot on court for 1,297 times, but when he did step foot on court, he scored double di

Monaco & Madrid Review 12/4
Real Madrid 81 Anadolu Efes 75 This game was tight for most of the way. In the first half my Bron of Europe Trey Lyles was letting me down. He was trying to be the Jay Huff of Europe, catching and shooting every time he got the ball. Hezonja on the other hand started the game like prime Wilt. I thought I was going to witness a Euroleague 100 ball. He scored 10 points in the first 4 minutes on 100% shooting. Then after that stopped shooting until the 2nd quarter. What a bummer

Euroleague preview Round 14
Euroleague is back in action today and we'll look at a few of the games. I hopped on the Monaco wagon a few years ago, after Mike James left the KD Nets, and anywhere that Trey Lyles plays we gotta support, Naptown stand up. So today we will be previewing the Monaco vs Paris game, and Real Madrid Vs Anadolu. Real Madrid @ Anadolu Efes Madrid 7-6, Anadolu 5-8 Going into the season, this would have seemed like a possible future playoff game. But Anadolu have had the injury bug

Top Live Mascots
American Universities are different when it comes to school spirit. It is my favorite atmosphere in sports because of the student sections and nonstop energy. It is similar to a European basketball or soccer game, but all drunk college students losing their mind. Part of this tradition of an electric atmosphere, is the mascots, and some schools don't just have any mascot, but an actual live animal mascots. The top tier of all mascots these guys are. Sometimes there will be a

Did Coach Joey McGuire just fix College Football
Texas Tech Head Coach Joey McGuire was just on The Pat McAfee Show and might've just proposed the most plausible and easiest fix to fixing the college football schedule problem. Everybody knows the Lane Kiffin saga that happened but that same thing has happened to other programs now including Tulane who also was fighting for a playoff spot. The schedule is terrible that coaches are forced with this decision of leaving their team right before the playoff or taking a no brainer

Bron vs Father Time
The most one sided battle in sports is starting to even out. Everybody remembers that tweet from 2015 saying "Lebron is 30, this fuckery wont go on much longer, thank god". And then he proceeded to go to the 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020 NBA finals and has been an all star every year since then and it's now 2025 and he will once again be an All Star in 2026. But this year is the first year that he probably doesn't actually deserve it, but will get in off the fan vote. Every ye

Colts Getting Passed on Final Stretch, by Zebras?
If the Colts games were horse races they'd been good for about the whole race besides for that last lap. They keep getting up in games, or having chances to win games, but shooting themselves in the hoofs. It is tough when your quarterback is playing with a broken leg however, and was obvious that he wasn't looking to move out of the pocket ever. I wrote the article last week about the Colts being legit and dominant despite their loss. The problem with the Colts and a lot of

Top Father Son Sports Duo's
This is a strict criteria. These aren't just the best combined careers for father and sons, but they had to be on the same team at the same time. Whether playing, both coaching, or coach and player, they had to be on the same collegiate or professional team together. It is a moment they had together, not overall success. And Little league doesn't count, otherwise Christian Springer and his dad win this easy. Lleyton Hewitt and Cruz Hewitt, Doubles Sydney ATP Challenger 11/19/

Colts Ain't No Joke
Sunday was a huge AFC showdown between the AFC leading Indianapolis Colts and a team playing for a Wild Card spot, the Kansas City Chiefs. In recent years when these two teams play each other it has been the other way around. The AFC leading Kansas City Chiefs vs either the shitshow Indianapolis Colts, or wildcard hopeful Indianapolis Colts, depending on which year you want to look at. Which is why this year it has been hard for me to totally buy into this Colts team actually

More Messi, Less Messy for Miami
Going into the game Messi had never won at FC Cincy. But it turns out this dude Messi is a really good soccer player. Did anyone know that or did I just discover this guy? Messi is 38 years old and to has mastered the game of soccer. He had already been the greatest but now the craft is mastered, He is like Lebron or Chris Paul in the way that he can just get old man buckets out there, and set his teammates up, until the day he dies. He may not be the youngest or the fastest

Arsenal Owns North London
"YOU CAN HEAR EM CRYING AT THE LANE. EBERECHI SCORES AGAIN. ONE CALL FROM MIK ARTETA HE SAID WOW. FUCK OFF TOTTENHAM IM A GOONER NOW!!!!!" If there was one way to sum up the North London Derby on Sunday, it would be that chant above. Just absolute scenes out at the Emirates on Sunday from the second they walked out on the pitch to that sick Tifo, and the crowd absolute belting North London Forever. They sang the song into the first few minutes of the game. Electricity. Of cou

USA Footy Struck by Lightning
2 games ago for USA finished with a benches clearing brawl vs Paraguay. It started over who's ball it was, and a player from both teams picked up the ball, wouldn't let go, and it ran into the benches all getting involved too. Some serious playground fight during a professional, international FIFA match. You have to love to see it. And then following that, Maybe the most electric 45 minutes of footy I've ever watched. It is seriously up there with the Argentina France World

Lleyton Hewitt teams up with son, Cruz, for doubles
The best sports story of the day happened around 11:45ET in Sydney, Australia with hardly anyone watching. There's Ken Griffey Sr and Ken Griffey Jr playing together. There's LeBron and Bronny playing together. And now we have 2 time grand slam champion and former world number 1, Lleyton Hewitt, coming out of retirement for the week to play doubles with his 16 year old son Cruz Hewitt this week at the ATP Challenger tournament in Sydney, Australia. Monaco Basket Early Season Report
If there was one word to describe the start of the year for As Monaco Basket it would be "inconsistent". They have shown they can beat the top clubs in the league with back to back wins over Panathinaikos and Olympiacos, but also have losses and struggled against teams they should beat handily such as Partizzan Mozart, Mccabi Tel Aviv, and Bologna. All in all Monaco players and fans are not particularly happy having a 6-5 record and sitting in 9th place currently. However, th

Worst Logos in Sports
There is a major difference between favorite and iconic, but a top 10 list to me should be a mix of home. It is whatever logos hit home the most. Whatever logos you can look at and know right away what the meaning is, with still a good aesthetic. But sometimes, when trying to create these, they go totally wrong, or try to do too much and it butchers it. Here are the worst logos, in no particular order, of all time (according to Will Nevets.) Worst logos -Djokovic Falcon. Most

"Indy But It Feels Like Miami" - Angel Reese
Miami 305. The championship winning team you've probably never heard of but put up one of the best championship moments in sports history. Led by Michael Beasley, Lance Stephenson, and Mario Chalmers, Miami 305 lifted the Big 3 championship trophy on Sunday. It had everything a basketball fan could want. It had a game-winning shot, had a 11 point lead blown and recovered, almost had a fight, and both teams were totally locked in treating it like a true championship game. Lan

Max Super Dowman
After watching Max Dowman for 33 minutes play vs Leeds, I am completely sold. We are talking Lamine Yamal and David Beckham in one. The kids got the swag of a legend and the skill to match. It was like watching Muchova or Kyrie on a soccer field, absolutely butter what he was doing with the ball. Lamine Yamal might be too young to have people be the next him, but Dowman is the white Lamine Yamal. Sagging like Mac Miller out there, Dowman was dazzling around defenders, and let

Medvedev's Midnight Madness
Daniil Medvedev had Louis Armstrong stadium rocking like Assembly Hall last night. Past midnight, down match point to lose in straight sets, the chair umpire gives Bonzi a 1st serve after the camera man steps onto the court between 1st and 2nd serve. Medvedev blows up, but the crowd erupts. We've all seen the clips it's easier to watch it then describe it. Link here. It's like nothing I've ever seen before. The crowd went on and on and on, completely uncontrollable. Medvedev
