Colts Getting Passed on Final Stretch, by Zebras?

If the Colts games were horse races they'd been good for about the whole race besides for that last lap. They keep getting up in games, or having chances to win games, but shooting themselves in the hoofs. It is tough when your quarterback is playing with a broken leg however, and was obvious that he wasn't looking to move out of the pocket ever. I wrote the article last week about the Colts being legit and dominant despite their loss. The problem with the Colts and a lot of AFC south teams is that their schedule so far has been mainly out of conference games. Which is fine, but it means there's going to be a lot of playoff movement in the later part of the season when they start playing more.
Well the 8-3 Colts played the 6-5 Texans at home in a huge game for the division. Them and the jaguars all have a chance to get the division title so the Colts really needed to take care of this game especially at home. They'd been waiting all year for these games.
The whole game was a battle and no team ever took a lead more than 1 score. The Colts went for it on 4th and 1 in the Red Zone and fumbled the snap on a tush push to Warren, but then intercepted Stroud the next play which led to a deep bomb to Alec Pierce in the back of the end Zone. The only problem, which would come back to loom, is Badgley missed the PAT. Colts 6, Texans 3.
The game would continue to be back and forth through the next couple quarters, with the Texans taking a 10-6 lead,
The Texans would go on to extend that lead to 13-6, until the Colts capped off a 79 yard drive with a Tyler Warren TD pass tying the game back at 13-13 at the end of the 3rd quarter. This is when all hell broke loose.
13-13 Texans driving start of the 4th quarter. Get down into field goal range easily but the Colts are fine giving up a field goal just no touchdown at this point. 3rd and 15. Colts gotta stop them. Play clock running down. 4, 3, 2, 1, 0... DELAY OF GAME! 3rd and 20 now!! Let's gooo!!! But wait... -1, -2, -3, the refs aren't calling delay of game! In fact the Texans snap the ball, throw an incomplete pass, and the refs throw a flag on the Colts calling pass interference 1st down. Total BS total joke what world are we living in. Obviously Gene Steratore hops on the broadcast saying yeah he didn't get that snap off in time and that should not have been called pass interference either. Just absolute unreal from the Zebras. So of course they score a touchdown and get extra points after they rode the Zebras all the way to the end zone. I kept saying karmas gotta pay off at some point, the football gods can't let them get away with it. Yes I'm finally right! Miss the extra point! Let's go score a touchdown and win by 1! Commentators say no good, I say no good, it is no good!!! But the refs do call it good. And not only do they say it went in, but they say it's unreviewable, even though every scoring play is reviewable. Again, Gene comes on saying yes indeed, again, the refs bent over for the Texans and helped them out. It was a total joke. Total sham.
But the Colts still have the ball, down 7, with a chance to go tie this game. Unfortunately they get down to the red zone and stall out, getting conservative with the run game, and settle for a field goal. This field goal would've cut the game to 1, is Badgley made his PAT earlier, if the refs could literally just not be blind and look at the ball or go look at a replay. It would be a tie game, if the refs could count when the clock hits 0, could not call a phantom interference on us. How is this still happening NFL? The amount of money invested in your sport and you can't even guarantee to get clear and obvious plays correct? Or scoring plays? I'm not even done yet.
This hoax of a game is still going on, and the Colts actually stopped them to get the ball back down 4. Again, just thinking the football gods can't let the Texans get away with all of this BS that's happening. Colts are driving. Wheeling. Dealing. Crowd is roaring, fired up. The boo birds have turned to deafening cheers. Until it's 1st and 10 on the 35 of the Texans, in range for a tie game/game winner if the refs were somewhat competent. But nope. The Texans defenders hand is draped all across Taylor's facemask. Fingers inside the mask. Just a brutally obvious call for the main tackler on the guy with the ball, everybody is watching those two. How do the refs miss it? Well again, Gene comes on and says they got it wrong and should've been called. And the colts throw 3 incompletions. Cya game over thanks for playing adios.
Colts move out of first in the division and now have to hope for a Wild Card or win out in the division to win the division. But we should AT LEAST be in overtime right now and honestly should've won the game. We had chances to go win, had chances to go score, and didn't, but also even when the Colts did what they were supposed to do, the refs still made sure they didn't score. So what're you supposed to do? We had a ref crew more loaded than Mark Sanchez last time he was in Indy.
Like Jay Z and Swizz Beats said, onto the next one, but it's hard when you know you should've won the one you deserved to win.
