Did Coach Joey McGuire just fix College Football

Texas Tech Head Coach Joey McGuire was just on The Pat McAfee Show and might've just proposed the most plausible and easiest fix to fixing the college football schedule problem.
Everybody knows the Lane Kiffin saga that happened but that same thing has happened to other programs now including Tulane who also was fighting for a playoff spot. The schedule is terrible that coaches are forced with this decision of leaving their team right before the playoff or taking a no brainer better job. There are also players entering the portal before the playoff starts to get to a better situation for them. All of these things should be allowed but again its the timing of it that is the problem. These changes should all happen after the season is over.
People have suggested moving the portal to the spring and moving the spring to the summer and changing x, y and z. A lot of moving parts in all of those explanations. Well, former Texas high school football coach and current Texas Tech Head Coach McGuire was just on McAfee and said why don't we just knock the season out earlier. He said we should start week 1 around August 24, have conference finals Thanksgiving weekend, play first round of the playoffs 7 days later, next round 7 days later, again in 7 days, and 7 days again. All ends before any portal even opens. McAfee chimed in adding it would be cool if the National Championship was on New Years Day every year. Coach McGuire said if high school players can do it then why can't college.
Easiest fix known to man and how did nobody think of this until genius Joey McGuire. I mean Tech might win the whole thing this year if this guy is this much smarter than the field. It helps the coaches for the current year, the next year, players get a fair chance. And not to mention these kids are still just kids. They are getting paid bands now but let them have a fair chance of winning the championship with the coaches and leaders they started the season with. And to Pat's point it would be unreal for the title game to be New Years Day, a day nobody is doing anything but hanging around home. Also it would be a nod to the past of when important bowl games that mattered actually happened on New Years Eve and New Years Day. Lets make this happen, ASAP.
