The 10 point streak for Bron is officially over. In terms of longevity, it is one of the most impressive accomplishments of all time. I mean this streak is older than Hulu. Older than President Obama's inauguration. Older than the first Iphone! Evan Cal Ripken's streak of 2,632 games played in a row is widely considered one of the best of all time but this is way better. He didn't just step foot on court for 1,297 times, but when he did step foot on court, he scored double digits for 1,297 times in a row. Nadal's Roland Garros stats are the only thing that can hold up to this in my opinion, but even there he played bad matches or bad sets. Absolutely unthinkable that not 1 time did Lebron have a bad game or get injured early for over 18 years. His all time points record has a better chance of getting broken, than this one.

For Bron, it was the most classic ending to the streak of all time. It couldn't have been more fitting. LeBron has 8 points with 8 seconds left in a tie game. Seemed storybook, Bron for the win and for 10 to keep the streak going. But he drives and passes to the wing for the game winning 3. And just like predicted in his interview he says "i made the right play, I've been doing that all my career", which is true. The streak ended how it started, it was never about the streak for him. He was scoring 10 in the flow of play, effortlessly. In the end it did become a bit about the streak so to me I bet Bron is happy in a way it is over and can just go back to hooping, not chasing 10.

For me the end of the streak was also fitting. I got to watch LeBron's streak end with my pops. I remember when LeBron was on the Heat he had a low scoring game. It was a big deal then that he may not score 10, and the streak was only at a couple hundred games back then. My dad was goin crazy he might not get 10 and that's when I first learned about this streak. Who knew it'd grow to be close to 1300 games.

When Bron retires, his motto should be like that bowler, "hate me or love me, you watched". And that's what Bron did, he brought people together even in his divisiveness. Maybe you disagreed with his decision, but you followed, and can't deny his greatness. Enjoying every last game we get to watch Bron play. Salute King.
