Monaco Slumping
Unfortunately a lot of these articles seem to come off something bad happening and not when they're winning. But that's what people mean when they say silence is good. Or when Lil Wayne said real g's move in silence like lasagna. We saw in the press conference from coach Spinoulis it is dark times in Monaco. And that came FAST. I wrote many times so far this year that Monaco's problem the past few years was finding consistency, not their talent. The talent we know what they h

Euroleague round 23
This week is a double header for Euroleague but "one game at a time" is what we're going with. Panathinaikos, Madrid, and Monaco (my 3 favorite teams) are all playing on Tuesday and all have games they should win. Madrid is coming off the El Clasico dub, where Trey Lyles might've been the first Indiana player ever to win an El Clasico game, but they still need to further progress themselves into safer playoff territory. They have the toughest game of the three though, playing

Euroleague Back in Action
Euroleague I ain't forgot about you!!! I could never. Tomorrow we got Panathinaikos and Monaco playing road games vs Bayern Munchen and Paris Basket. The 2 best teams in the league, in my opinion. Or at least the two most talented rosters. Last time Monaco played Paris I think they set the Euroleague record for points in a game, and have been on a tear lately winning their last 4 games or more in the Euroleague. Everything is jazz over there and they look to just keep it humm

End of game madness
Last night we had madness at the end of the Orlando Magic @ Brooklyn Nets game. The Nets went on a 18-2 run at the end of the 4th to take the game to OT, including a 3 from Sergei Demin with 5 seconds left at the end of regulation to tie the game. Sergei hadn't made a shot all game until 2 minutes left in the 4th and he ended up with at least 18. The 18 went unconscious

New number 1 in Euroleague?
I have considered Panathinaikos the favorite to win the league since I found out that Panathinaikos is hosting the Final 4 of 2025-2026 Euroleague. Lately however they've been in a bit of turmoil. They've lost multiple games in a row, and their owner came out saying that the guys were all out two nights before the game and the whole team isn't connected with 1 goal to win. If it wasn't for them hosting the Final 4, and with how crazy gate 13 is at their stadium, I would be ba

Tien vs Michelson, Wilson Python Buzz
Tien vs Michelson Tonight in America, today in Australia, we get the 4th edition of these two young American prodigies squaring off against each other. Not only are they young Americans, but they're both from SoCal and only a year apart. They've grown up together and our good friends, as you can see and have heard in their interviews together. Michelson leads the head to head 2-1 and has won both matches that had normal ATP tour scoring. Tien won the first matchup they had at

Christian Harrison USA MVP?
Despite being undefeated in group play, it hasn't been all glamour and glitz for this USA team at the United Cup. It's only been two matches and there's already been multiple viral moments. First was Fritz up a set and break on Baez, hit the basketball made famous "too small" celebration, and went on to lose the match in a 3rd set. Then there was Coco Gauff mentioning to the media that USA fans are the worst of any country supporting there players internationally. That might'

Aussie Open Swing Courts
It's that time of year again. Time for your sleep schedule to be wrecked for the next month while Aussie tennis starts at 7pm ET and is on still when you wake up for school in the next morning. As I was beginning this phase I tuned into Jack Pinnington Jones vs Gilles Arnaud Bailly (TCU vs Texas). The match was in a rain delay so all I could do was look at the court and noticed them in a Challenger in Canberra The Australian Open is often referred to as the happy slam overall

Bucs Gon Buc
The Chiefs gon Chief ended up becoming a phrase that doesn't need explained because people already know what you mean by that. They're gonna win close games. And that was true for the whole decade up until this year. Well since the day Mahomes started playing they had only lost 1 score game. Until this year the Chiefs were gon Chief. But now this year, we have become lucky enough to get a new phrase that everyone needs to know. The Bucs gon Buc. No matter what, this year the

Madrid comes back from 14 to beat Dubai
This one hits home, literally. Trey Lyles aka the Bron of Europe has maybe his best Euroleague game yet as Madrid comes back to beat Dubai FC 107-93, with the help of 6 different players in double figures. By looking at the score it looks like it was a routine win for Madrid but it really was all but that. For most of 1st quarter Madrid led a couple points but Dubai was able to take the lead a few times for very short stretches. The 2nd quarter is where it started to get craz

Panathinaikos Title To Lose
So far in the Euroleague season it's a tight race- record wise- through the top 10 teams. A few of those rosters stick out though as being a bit better than the others, and to me the best is sitting currently in 3rd, Panathinaikos. They got the reigning MVP, and the silkiest player in the league, Kendrick Nunn. Nunn is smooth and gets to his spots so easily, more surprising when he misses than makes. They added former Nuggets star Kenneth Faried, and Cedi Osman has added an e

Monaco Finding Consistency?
Monaco's achilles heel all year has been inconsistent play. We've known they're capable of playing at the top level. I've been preaching it since my first Monaco article a few months back, and now Mike James is preaching it as well. In the post game press conference they asked him about they're level compared to some of their other good games and he said that they're "just looking for consistency" and "just trying to be consistent". Whether he's noticed it, or Coach Spanoulis

Anta Clause and The Joker steal Christmas
Pretty fitting the game of the day on the historical Christmas Day NBA games was the last game. Just too bad most people were asleep by then. (Honorable mention to Snoop Dogg for the moment of the day while people were awake hours though) Anytime these teams play each other it is usually an instant classic. You got Ant who can score as many points as anybody, jump over anybody, and has the swagger/confidence that he's not afraid of anybody and he makes it known too. There's a

Monaco vs Madrid Hype- Christmas Part 2
As I started my day and realized that we'd be getting the long awaited Trey Lyles vs Mike James matchup today I thought it was Christmas all over again. This was better than any matchup in the NBA yesterday for me. Then you get the Euroleague Anthem starting as the game comes on Euroleague TV it just sets the vibes so high. Then the Monaco clapping that starts at intros and goes until the first basket is made. Basically the Taylor University Silent Night tradition but it happ

Fia JCF Breakup
This is a post I figured I'd be writing but not this soon. As an OG Fia discoverer back in 2018 when Fia was just a young Lad (really Shariq aka Uncle Riqo told me about him) but we saw him in Amsterdam and predicted #1 in the world. Our best call to date. Or his I guess. But this isn't what I'd like my first article for Fia to be about. Carlitos Alcaraz and Juan Carlos Ferrero have ended their coach and player partnership. This is shocking news given the fact Ferrero has coa

IU-Indy next UCLA?
I thought it about 10 years ago and I'm thinking it now. Is IU-Indy the next UCLA? Well with the new James T Morris Center it might be, especially if they calling it The Jim. UCLA is University of Cal Los Angeles, a branch of U Cal, just like IU-Indy is an off branch of IU. UCLA isn't thought of like that to average Americans though because of the notoriety it has with its sports programs and culture. It seems like its own powerhouse school, not UTSA to UT, or IUPUI to IU. Bu
