Monaco Finding Consistency?

Monaco's achilles heel all year has been inconsistent play. We've known they're capable of playing at the top level. I've been preaching it since my first Monaco article a few months back, and now Mike James is preaching it as well. In the post game press conference they asked him about they're level compared to some of their other good games and he said that they're "just looking for consistency" and "just trying to be consistent". Whether he's noticed it, or Coach Spanoulis, they're aware of their problem and fixing it. Today against Barcelona, they played one of their most consistent games of the season.

This was a rematch of Monaco's first rd playoff game last year. It started with Monaco up double figures almost all of the game, starting in the first quarter and ending in the 4th. I kept waiting for the game to get closer than it needed but it never even got below 9 points again the rest of the game. They got timely stops and a few technical fouls from Barcelona helped Monaco continue their rhythm, but all around they were sharing the ball and kept the same intensity throughout. Monaco had 4 players in double figures, including former Barcelona player Nikola Mirotic getting revenge on his old squad.

Shoutout Kevarrius Hayes. Maybe the most athletic player in the Euroleague and showed it tonight with an absolute filthy putback jam in the first half. Highly recommend checking that out.
