This one hits home, literally. Trey Lyles aka the Bron of Europe has maybe his best Euroleague game yet as Madrid comes back to beat Dubai FC 107-93, with the help of 6 different players in double figures.

By looking at the score it looks like it was a routine win for Madrid but it really was all but that. For most of 1st quarter Madrid led a couple points but Dubai was able to take the lead a few times for very short stretches. The 2nd quarter is where it started to get crazy. Dubai took a comfortable lead throughout the quarter and at half ended up 14 points, 58-44. That was quickly closed by Madrid going on a 11-0 run to start the 3rd quarter, thanks to Trey Lyles and Campazzo. After that it was game on again. Madrid was able to cut it to 3 but Avramovic in particular seemed to have an answer every time it got close. In the 4th though Hezonja caught fire and went on an 8-0 run of his own to take the lead for Madrid and after that they never looked back. They went on one more 11-0 stretch and then it was all cruising to a 107-93 win.

This was big win for Madrid in the standings, to help cement them more into the top 10 of the Euroleague. It also would've put them with the same record as Dubai, which shouldn't happen, as Madrid has a better team and better basketball culture. This win was particularly nice also because Naptown's own Trey Lyles went for 17 and 4 on 75% shooting. And best of all he started with 2's and closer buckets, and got his rhythm and then the 3 started following after. His physicality is just too much for most of the guys in Europe and when Madrid use that to their benefit they're a top team in Europe, with the shooting they have around him. In my previous articles I'd been critical of Lyles shot selection at times but this game it's all praise. Continue that play and I think we'll see them in Greece for the final 4.

Also, I know I played tennis and any of these pro basketball players would beat me 100-0 in basketball but imma call a spade a spade.
